Zuni Pueblo MainStreet Board of Directors & Staff

The Zuni Pueblo MainStreet Executive Director and our Board of Directors is a group of dedicated volunteers who work closely with Zuni artists and business community, along with community members, entrepreneurs, tribal leadership, and New Mexico MainStreet specialists to develop and support of initiatives that help achieve our short and long term goals for economic revitalization.

I really enjoy working with our community and tribal leaders to spark change at the local level, where it is much needed. If you love what you do, you don’t mind doing it for free!

    Rosanne is a business owner and sole proprietor with 32 years of experience working with artists. She travels nationwide to art galleries and museums to sell and purchase artwork to reinvest her funds back into the community. Rosanne is passionate about helping her community and working with artists to support them in establishing successful businesses.

    MainStreet allows me to be active in planning annual ZPMS events that give artists and other entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase and sell their work. As a director, I help promote and carry out the ZPMS mission and vision to improve and enhance the appearance, economic vitality and give input in the historic preservation of downtown Zuni Pueblo for a better quality of life for all.

    As a silversmith and fetish Carver for 10 years, I became a board member to help the Zuni community grow in economy and tourism, which helps us local artists and entrepreneurs. When I'm not working on my laptop or art, I like to travel and visit with friends and family.

    Mario Hooee

    Member since 2012, Executive Director since 2019

    Mario served as a director from 2012 to 2018, serving in different capacities. In December 2018, he undertook the role as Interim Executive Director and was officially hired March 2019. As Executive Director, he is instrumental in collaborating with various entities and organizations and helping to move the work of MainStreet forward.
